Tracy Porter Sudzum

Tracy Lynn Porter Sudzum, age 59, passed away on Friday, March 22nd, surrounded by family and friends. Tracy was a Bradford native, graduating from Bradford High School in 1982 where she was the manager of the Lady Red Devils basketball team.  She attended University of Tennessee at Martin, graduating in 1985 with a degree in accounting.  

Tracy had a career with CBL Properties and was the General Manager of Old Hickory Mall in Jackson for many years.  Her artistic abilities and creative nature led Tracy to becoming a talented baker and cake designer bringing beauty and elegance to many events throughout the West Tennessee area.  

After several years of providing cakes for her parents’ catering business, Tracy and her husband opened their own business, Sweet and Savory Cakes & Catering, in downtown Bradford.  They quickly developed a loyal clientele and generously contributed to the local community.  

Tracy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gail and Virginia (Granny) Crews and paternal grandparents, Papa and Mama Porter.  

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Miloard (Mike) Sudzum, her parents Jerry M. and Carolyn Crews Porter, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.  

Tracy had a love of travel, antiquing, and tastefully decorating for all holidays.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel, Bradford, TN.  Burial will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Mike Bryant, David Bryant, Jason Harwood, Jimmy Porter, Miroljub (Mike) Lazovich, Richard Sharp, Ben Michael Sudzum, and Nick Sudzum.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Joel Branson and Curtis Porter.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Hunt Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 PM.
