Robert Frank Lockard

Funeral Services for Robert (Frank) Lockard, age 84 will be held on Friday September 10, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Johnny McCartney officiating. Burial will follow at Bradford Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lockard a funeral director was born in Trenton, TN on August 7, 1937 to the late Fred and Grace Peevyhouse Lockard, and passed away Tuesday September 7, 2021 at Trenton Healthcare, Trenton, TN.

Frank was a business owner of the Hayes & Lockard DX Services Station in Trenton, Tennessee. He worked many years at the Milan Army Ammunition Plant and a funeral director at Hunt Funeral Home LLC for 47 years.

Politics played a role in Frank’s life. He became Mayor of Bradford and served two terms, He served sixteen years as alderman for the City of Bradford. Frank was an outstanding public servant. Frank had friends of all walks of life and he loved people.

He is survived by his wife Glenda Lockard, two children Robert (Debbie) Lockard of Jackson, TN, Doug Lockard of Trenton, TN, Three grandchildren Michael Lockard of Trenton, TN, Mandy McCrady of Trenton, TN, Ashley Hunt of Clarksville. Eleven great grandchildren Lyra, Isla, Wayne, Riley, Kohner, Ashlyn, AJ, Karma, Taylor, Ryan Jr, sister-in-law Dorothy Cash of Bradford, Tn.

Preceded in death by his great grandson Makylon.

Pallbearers: Larry Taylor, Tim Taylor, Michael Lockard, Butch Cutulle, Steve Roberson, Melvin Pittman.
