Mary Elizabeth McCartney

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth McCartney, age 96 will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don McCartney and Bro. Kevin Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday August 22, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m..

Ms. Mary a retired cook for the Bradford School System was born in Bradford, Tennessee on September 18, 1920 to the late William Thomas & Lillian Iris Crowe Harrison. She passed away on August 19, 2017 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Libby) Sheppard of Three Way, Tennessee, son Robert McCartney of Medina, Tennessee, sister Opal Harrison of Bradford, Tennessee grandchildren Jeff (Tiffany) McCartney of Jackson, TN, Connie (Todd) Chyneweth of New London WI, Rene (Randy) Hampton of Beech Bluff, Tennessee, Tammy (Gerald) Wiltshire of Jackson, Tennessee, six great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a very special friend and caregiver TJ Page.

Ms. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of fifty six years Floyd McCartney, sister Nell Smith, and brother Willie T. Harrison.

Pallbearers for the service will be Mary Barnes, Todd Chyneweth, Tommy Hall, Roy Hamm, Randy Hampton, Danny Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be Bob Blurton, David Hall.
