Jerry Gene Smith

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry “Gene” Smith, age 83, will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 12 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Oliver’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, from 9 a.m. until service time. 

Mr. Gene, a retired storeroom clerk for the Milan Arsenal, was born on October 17, 1941, in Idlewild, TN and passed away at his residence in Bradford, TN, on February 5, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Maxine Jamison Smith. 

He is survived by his wife, Carolee Smith of Bradford; two sons, Timothy (Duwana) Smith of Bradford and Jimmy (Kim) Smith of Springville; one daughter, Terrie Jean (William) Powell of Bradford; six grandchildren, Micheal English, Jonathan Powell, Jaclyn Woodruff, Jeremy Smith, Courtney Hefner, and Cody Jackson; ten great-grandchildren; Haley Mullins, Braxton English, Tiffanie English, Mylee English, River English, Blakeley Marie Westmoreland, Treyson Van Westmoreland, Isabella Grace Westmoreland, Easton Garrett Smith, and Emmie Kate Smith; and one great great-grandchild; Maddie English.
