Jack Pounds Jones

Jack Pounds Jones departed this life on May 22, 2014. He was born on February 10, 1928 to Lawson and Lillie B. Pounds Jones. He spent much time in his childhood in Idlewild, TN with his aunt and uncle, John D. and Janie Pounds Oliver. As a young man Jack joined the Army and served his country. Afterward, he was a truck driver for Time, INC. He retired to Leach, TN where he lived out the remainder of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lawson, Jr. , his sister Willie Ruth Romero, and his beloved son Jack P. Jones Jr. He is survived by his cousin, Jane Mathis Pybas and family of Idlewild, TN, his caregiver and friend June Boyd and special friends and neighbors Brett and John.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Hunt Funeral Home in Bradford, TN. from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service @ 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel
