Gary Ray Greenup

Funeral servces for Gary Ray Greenup, age 72, will be held on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Humboldt First Baptist Church in Humboldt, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Bradford Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m at the funeral home, Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Humboldt First Baptist Church in Humboldt.

Mr. Gary  was born in Gibson Co. Tennessee on April 28, 1944 and passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at Jackson Madison Co General Hospital after a lengthy Illness. He attended school in Bradford and was a 1971 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He served in the U.S.Army from 1965 -1967 spending most of 1966 with the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam. Gary was employed in the automobile business for most of his career and was a former mayor of Bradford.

He is survived by his daughter Jenna Greenup of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, two sons Jordan Greenup of Humboldt, Tennessee, Grayson Greenup of Humboldt, Tennessee, two sisters Linda (Tom) Badgett of Jackson, Tennessee, Pam (Terry) Williams of Cresent Texas, one brother Roger (Shirley) Greenup of Brentwood, Tennessee, and mother Maggie Nell Greenup of Bradford, Tennessee.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife Donna Ford Greenup, father Paul Raymond Greenup and sister Carolyn Joan Steele.
