Douglas Powell

Funeral services for Bro. Doug Powell, age 77, will be held on Wednesday September 6, 2023, at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Pounds-Idlewild Cemetery in Bradford. His celebration of life will be officiated by Bro. Mike Ragland. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. All services will be held at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Milan, TN.

Bro. Powell, pastor of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, was born on November 28, 1945, in Gibson County, TN and passed away at his residence on August 31, 2023, in Milan, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Powell of Milan; one daughter, Lori (Mike) Ulmer of Henderson; two sons, Rickey (Janet) Landrum of Greenfield and Scott (Tammy) Powell of Milan; one brother, Bill Powell of Elyria, OH; eight grandchildren, Travis Ulmer, Amber Ulmer, Tabatha Landrum Whitlow, Russell Whitlow, Hannah Powell Chanray, Chandler Malray, Caleb Powell, and Benjamin Powell; and four great-grandchildren, Kiya Whitlow, Sarah Whitlow, Easton Powell, and August Malray.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Finis Garrett and Lillie Yates Powell; and one sister, Jane Powell Burns.
