Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Kay Hammon, age 74, will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 6 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 2 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Hammon, a homemaker, was born in Jackson, TN, on November 3, 1947, to the late Freeman and Dorothy Bickerstaff Burns. She passed away on August 23, 2022, at Milan General Hospital in Milan, TN.

She is survived by two sons, Shawn (Misty) Pinkerton of Bradford, TN and Dallas Pinkerton of Jackson, TN; a sister, Gail Wernimont of Jackson, TN; a brother, Harold Burns of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Brandon (Stephanie) Lloyd, Anna Pinkerton, Carissa Pinkerton, and Bailey Pinkerton; and two great-grandchildren, Greyson and Brayden Lloyd.

She is preceded in death by Bo Pinkerton (husband); James Hammon (husband); a sister, Nancy Glenn; and a daughter, Sarah Morris.
