Bobby Gene Powell

Funeral services for Bobby Gene Powell, age 91 will be held on Sunday May 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ernest Pounds officiating. Burial will Tansil Cemetery in Weakley County. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Mr. Powell a retired truck driver was born in Milan, Tennessee on January 24, 1930 to late Wildon and Alta McCartney Powell, and passed away Friday April 30, 2021 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife Sue Powell of Bradford, Tennessee, daughter Lisa (David) James of Franklin, brother Gerald Powell of Arizona, three grandchildren Alexandria, Harrison, and Mitchell, and host of longtime friends and close relatives.

Mr. Powell is preceded in death by besides his parent, two brothers Max Powell, Jack Thetford, and sister Martha Barrett.
